How do I prevent the glass from bursting in the drying oven?
According to our safety guidelines, you must wait for the oven to cool down to room temperature before taking the funnel out. Opening the oven while hot can cause a sudden thermal shock to the glass, leading to cracks or explosions.
Can this funnel be used for filtering concentrated corrosive liquids?
Our G3 funnel is made of Boro 3.3 glass, which is highly resistant to most acids and alkalis. However, it should NOT be used with Hydrofluoric acid (HF), hot concentrated phosphoric acid, or extremely concentrated alkaline solutions as these will corrode the sand core and the glass wall.
