A: Absolutely not. We construct the retriever rod using premium Polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE). Consequently, the surface is completely chemically inert. It will not react with or contaminate strong acids, alkaline solutions, or harsh organic solvents.

A: Yes, you can sterilize it safely. The PTFE material and magnetic core are highly thermally stable. Therefore, the rod easily withstands standard high-pressure autoclave temperatures (typically around 121°C) without melting or losing its magnetic strength.
