A1: No. The manufacturer strictly advises using a power adapter that is 5V/2A or less. Using a fast charge or quick charge adapter that exceeds 5V/2A will cause irreversible damage to the device’s internal circuitry.
Q2: Can I project the camera's display onto my laptop in real time?
A2: Yes! The UTi260B supports a live screencasting feature. By connecting the device to your PC via the included Type-C USB cable and using the provided software, you can transmit the real-time thermal image to your monitor, making it perfect for team inspections.
Q3: What does the ROI (Region of Interest) feature do?
A3: The ROI function allows you to draw a specific box or region on the screen. The camera will only measure the max and min temperatures within that specific box, ignoring surrounding background heat sources (like a hot engine block nearby) that might otherwise skew your readings.
Q4: Can this camera see through walls to find water leaks?
A4: No thermal camera can “see through” walls. However, it detects the surface temperature differences caused by the moisture behind the drywall. Because wet areas are cooler than dry areas, the UTi260B is highly effective at identifying hidden plumbing leaks and HVAC insulation failures.
